Camp Esther 2011
NYS Right to Life trained more students than ever at this year’s Camp Esther, held July 22-24 at the Good News Center in Utica, NY. The thirty-five committed, pro-Life teens (above) who attended received a thorough training on Life issues including abortion, euthanasia, and human embryo-destructive stem cell research. Students also had the opportunity to practice speaking effectively on Life issues and to meet peers who share their passion for protecting all members of the human family.
Nine students were part of our leadership team (below), taking an active role in organizing and running sessions and activities at camp. Feedback from campers was overwhelmingly positive, and we have already seen many students involved in reaching out to educate their communities on Life issues. Several campers have volunteered at pro-life booths and other local summer events since such as the Altamont and Otsego County Fairs, Kingdom Bound, and the New York State Fair. Campers have also been encouraging peers to join them in being active for Life.
NYS Right to Life would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our partners, the Good News Foundation of Central New York and the New York State Ancient Order of Hibernians, who, along with our faithful donors, made this summer's camp possible.
